Going Green

Your IT equipment has just been replaced with new kit..

> What can you do with your old equipment?
> What about the harmful materials that are found in the components?
> What happens with your sensitive data?
> Could any underprivileged persons benefit from the use of your old equipment?
> Are there any cost implications to my company?

After a few minutes you will have the answer to all your questions.

When I founded Just Pc’s in 2001 I could never have dreamed that the company would become what it’s now. Back then it was only a source of income, buying & selling pc’s, but today its much more.

I love the outdoors & cannot try to imagine my kids growing up in a world that is so polluted that you cant fish in the rivers, drink water from our dams or see the stars at night.

Mr Raymond Ackerman once said that most entrepreneurs start our businesses to make money but if you want to stay in business & build a successful one, you need to love what you do!

I couldn’t agree more. Just Pc’s has now become a projection of my passion to keep our environment green & close the digital divide.

From our 1500sqm factory in Cape Town we offer an array of eco & socially responsible services to more than 20 corporate companies nationally with them allocating little to no budget to the project.

Computers are professionally refurbished to the highest international standards.

All refurbished pc’s & laptops are loaded with new MS software specifically for refurbished equipment.

Beneficiaries of donated equipment are screened by us, donated equipment carries a warranty & we give our clients detailed reporting of donated equipment.

All sensitive data is removed from hard-drives with additional options that comply with more than 10 international standards including the most popular US Department of Defence standard 5220.22-M.

Our recycling department ensures that all non refurbish-able equipment is dismantled & recycled in accordance with local, national & international guidelines, standards & legislation. This ensures that non of the harmful materials like lead, mercury, cadmium (to name a few) ends up in our environment & more importantly, our drinking water.

All this is possible at no extra cost to you!
