How does Mobicred work?

Mobicred is digital credit that allows you to shop at over 55,000 places, both online and in-store* – with our online store being one of these. Apply today and you could qualify for up to R50,000* digital credit. Repay your balance via easy and convenient debit orders, where your monthly
minimum repayment is just 7.5% of your outstanding balance. T’s & C’s apply. In-store payments are only accepted at selected retailers.

How Do I Checkout?

Say goodbye to struggling with finding your wallet and all the other hassles of traditional credit cards. Mobicred has got it sorted. If you’re new to Mobicred, you’ll need to apply for an account first. Here’s how to checkout online:

1. Shop on our store as per usual, and add to cart.
2. During the checkout process, select PayU and then Mobicred as your payment option.
3. Sign in with your Mobicred username and password. This will trigger an OTP
   to your registered mobile device.
4. Enter the OTP to complete the payment.
5. You’ll get your order right away from us, and pay your Mobicred installments
   when due.

How Long Do I Have To Pay?

With a Mobicred account, you’re not required to pay off your balance within a set time frame. As long as you’re making your minimum required payments, it’s up to you to decide how long you need to settle your balance. They also don’t charge any penalty fees for settling your balance early via additional EFT payments (good for you!).
As long as you have sufficient available credit, you can use your account multiple times within a month, and with every repayment your credit facility becomes available to you again to keep on shopping. So next time you’re shopping online, #choosemobicred.

Do I Qualify?

While everyone’s application is unique based on their credit history, affordability criteria and other factors; here’s the basics you need to have to apply:
– Be 18 years or older
– Have a valid SA ID
– Have a valid SA cell phone number and email address
– Have an existing and valid bank account in your name

Will I Get a Card?

Nope, Mobicred is 100% online. From your application to shopping and account management, everything is digital. You can download the App and pretend that’s a card if it makes you feel better. Digital credit in your pocket.
